Before you place your transit order request:

You will need to obtain a Clipper Card. Clipper is an all-in-one transit card that keeps track of any passes, ride books and cash value that you load onto it, while applying all applicable fares, discounts and transfer rules. This lets you customize your card for your own transit needs. The Clipper card can hold multiple passes, ride books or tickets (which are specific to the transit system being used), as well as up to $300 in cash value at one time. Cash value on your Clipper card can be used to ride any participating transit system. Clipper Cards can be obtained online at www.clippercard.com or at most Walgreens.

Important reminders for using Clipper on Caltrain:

    •    You must always have $1.25 in cash value on your card.
    •    Please remember to tag off. Learn more about these tips.

If you plan to order more than $75 each month, please contact our WageWorks Account Manager, Troy Aquino at: troy.aquino@wageworks.com, prior to registering and placing your order. Ask Troy to set you up in an account that will allow you to use a credit card for any amount over the $75 subsidy we offer each month. Troy will contact you with instructions once you are in the correct system, so you can register and place your order.

Enroll in minutes

It's quick and easy - less than 5 minutes for most people .You can sign up or make changes whenever you choose - online or by phone. Once you place your order, you don't need to come back unless you want to change or cancel your order. You must cancel or change your order no later than 8:59 p.m., Pacific Time on the 10th of the month to be effective for the following benefit month. When you enroll, just select your transit provider and type of pass. It's that simple. Every month, the Commute Alternatives Program contributes up to $75 automatically, and WageWorks uses it to pay for your transit pass.

Set It, Forget It

Once you choose "Every Month" for your Commuter order, you'll automatically receive the same benefit every month until you change or cancel it. The same cutoff date for orders applies to changes or cancellations, so plan ahead. Check your monthly reminder emails for deadlines. Remember, it's up to you to make changes through WageWorks - your transit provider cannot notify them if you stop riding.
