More money in your pocket

How much do you spend on your commute? It may be more than you think. Anytime you choose an alternative you save money. It simply costs more to drive alone! Use the calculator to find out the true cost of your own drive-alone commute.

San Mateo County employees can automatically save up to $900 a year just by ordering their public transportation tickets through our office. In addition, carpoolers, bikers and walkers can earn $20 each month when they carpool/bike/or walk at least two days per week every week of the month.

Top Ten Ways to Spare the Air

We all contribute to Bay Area smog. Driving, painting, even the type of consumer products we use create emissions that form smog. In the summertime because of the warmer temperatures, smog is a bigger problem but we can all do our part to help keep our air clean. Want to be part of the solution to cleaner air? Try these ways to Spare the Air! (click here)

Better health

Commuting to work with others gives you more time to relax - and walkers and cyclists get an extra workout.

Cleaner air, less traffic

For every mile you travel by vanpool, carpool, bike or walking, you remove pounds of environmental toxins from the air.
